Planes waiting to land

Finishing Doubleblind. Champing to get back to a project called Sky Waves, which needs some intricate work. Not expecting an old and abandoned project to resurface in my head, repairs underway.

My "first" novel -- technically third, as two other mss are in a box and will never come out -- is called Dead Reckoning, and my failures with it have broken my heart. So I left it.

It won't leave me.

I should know better.

Why are you champing? What's not keeping all your attention on _Db_? Is it the tedium of the revision process?

As for _DR_, maybe you'll revisit that later, when there's time. space, maturity, insight, whatever you need. Not dead, just dormant?

Check out "No, Max" for a comment

We have little control over them, do we? Maybe you too need to let certain projects have a "literary booty call".

And everything can be worked or reworked. It may take time and distance, but it can happen

Hilary,

"Champing" because this round of revisions on Db is done. Becuase I never have only one project in my head at once.

_DR_ is visiting me. I'm a coward -- don't want to face the pain of getting that novel in shape. Also know I have no choice; I will be at it again.
